I am a researcher and designer working in the field of accessible digital musical instrument design.I am in the final stages of my PhD on this subject at Queen Mary University of London. Currently I work as a Research Assistant at QMUL, as well as Research Director for the OHMI Trust's research partnership. I am interested in ways we can use technology to open up access to music-making for disabled musicians, and in particular how we can replicate existing instruments but in more physically accessible designs. The one-handed digital bagpipe chanter is an excellent example of this, and I am very excited to be involved in bringing it to more budding musicians.
